Mercedes speaks openly about dealing with mental health issues. After a crash a the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, she had a long road to recovery, 2-8 years, in those first 2 years she realized she was in a dark place, suffering from depression. Her personality, her ‘sparkle’ had gone.
